Somme Centenary, Friday 1st July 2016

On Friday 1st July, an Act of Remembrance with Bugler, Sally Clarke, was held at 7.25 am with 60-70 in attendance.

We represented West Leeds in this event, which was part of a  City Wide service.

At 10.45 am a Service of Remembrance again with Sally and officiated by Reverend Paul Crabb was held with around 100 people in attendance.

The photographs below show planning events including cleaning of the Memorial by Parks & Countryside, rehearsal at the Memorial, Posters, Orders of Service and our Union Flag being hoisted at 6.50 am on 1st July.
