Three new names added to Bramley War Memorial.
Friday, July 1st marks 100 years since the commencement of the Battle of Somme – with 50,000 casualties, over 19,000 of them dead on the first day. 77 local men died in the battle which continued until November.
We are remembering with two events; 7.25 am with bugler 5 minutes later to mark the moment the troops left their trenches and a Service of Remembrance at 10.45 am – Please share this post and poster. Thanks.
